Zamfara NMA demands 2weeks lockdown of state over disease outbreak

The Zamfara state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, has approached Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to force a fourteen day curfew in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Tending to newsmen in Gusau, the association’s executive chairman, Dr Kabiru Musa, noticed that closing schools, ministries and other government activities in the state was not enough to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

The chairman urged the governor to as a matter of urgency restrict movement for about fourteen days, bringing up that the state government should have guided the people to remain at home to avoid overcrowding.
