First confirmed case in Egypt is an outsider
As indicated by a joint statement by the World Health Organization and Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population, the first case of coronavirus was affirmed, revealed Reuters.
Health authorities were able to detect the case as travellers from affected nations were screened.
The nationality of the person or their place of passage into Egypt was not mentioned, as indicated by Reuters.
As indicated by WHO, this makes Egypt the first nation in the continent of Africa to affirm a case, and the second in the Middle East, after United Arab Emirates, which has eight affirmed cases.
