Neighbors assault, impregnate Katsina lady with psychological maladjustment

Two neighbors, Nasiru Musa, 35, and Ibrahim Abubakar, 27, have been remanded in jail guardianship for supposedly assaulting and impregnating a 26-year-elderly person enduring psychological maladjustment in Katsina.

The suspects, who were said to be the unfortunate casualty’s neighbors at Goya town in the Funtua Local Government Area of the state, are being arraigned for purportedly exploiting her psychological state to sequentially assault her from January 2019 until their capture in July.

The police investigator, Sergeant Lawal Bello, educated a Katsina Senior Magistrates’ Court directed by Hajiya Fadile Dikko that the injured individual was a half year pregnant because of the presumes’ activities.

Inconvenience began for the presumes when the injured individual’s senior sibling, Bello Hassan, revealed an instance of assault at the Central Police Station, Funtua, on July 7, 2019.

Therefore, the two suspects were welcomed for addressing and both purportedly admitted to the wrongdoing.

The police investigator stated, “One Bello Hassan of Goya town, Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State, detailed at the Central Police Station, Funtua, that on various events, from the long stretch of January 2019 till date, Nasiru Musa, 35, and Ibrahim Abubakar, 27, both of a similar location, plotted, deluded and tricked his 27-year-old more youthful sister, who is of an unsound personality, to better places in Goya town and had unlawful sexual relations with of her multiple times.

“Subsequently, she got pregnant, which is around a half year old. During cross examination, you both admitted to having submitted the supposed offenses.”

Musa and Abubakar were accused of criminal trick and assault in opposition to the arrangements of areas 97 and 283 of the Penal Code Law.

The indictment requested extra time for the police to finish up their examination and proceed with the issue.

The directing officer requested that the suspects be remanded in jail authority until August 26, 2019, when the case is scheduled for notice.
