Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday remanded Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s son in-law Abdullahi Babalele and legal advisor, Uyiekpen Osagie-Giwa, in the guardianship of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Oweibo likewise conceded a movement ex-parte looking for leave of the court that the illegal tax avoidance body of evidence against Babalele ought to be heard during the progressing court excursion.
EFCC had summoned Babalele, for purportedly washing $140,000 in the development to the 2019 general decisions, while Osagie-Giwa, was independently charged for supposedly washing $2m, regarding the surveys.
Justice Oweibo deferred till Thursday to take their bail applications.
The judge requested that they be come back to the EFCC care.
