Buhari reveals Sanwo-Olu’s report on Coronavirus outbreak

President Muhammadu Buhari has communicated satisfaction over Nigerians reaction to the worldwide coronavirus infection

The President who facilitated the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the presidential villa made public, details of their meeting in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle

Sanwo-Olu had briefed the President on developments surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak in Lagos State.

We had reported that Sanwo-Olu had met with Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, yesterday.

As stated by Buhari: “Today, Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State informed me on the Coronavirus situation. I am extremely satisfied by how diligently Nigeria is responding to the situation, at all levels of government, and from the private sector as well. I commend everyone involved.

“Nigeria will keep on satisfying its obligations to the international community, by ensuring that we curtail the spread of the disease. The Federal Government is making available all the resources required to contain the threats.

Review that the Nigerian Government had recently recorded its first case in Lagos State.

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire had affirmed the outbreak of the disease in Lagos.

An Italian whose identity has not been confirmed was said to have brought the disease into the country.
