The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt’s Zonal Office, on Friday, August 2, 2019 summoned one Wealth Wilson before Justice A.T Mohammed of the Federal High Court, sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on a four-tally charge verging on pantomime and other web related offenses in spite of Section 22 (3) (an) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention, and so forth) Act, 2015 and culpable under Section 22 (4) of a similar Act.
One of the charges peruses: “That you Wealth Wilson (a.k.a) Carter Berry, Eric Parter Ham) at some point somewhere in the range of 2018 and 2019 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, inside the ward of this fair court did falsely imitate one Carter Dan Baldwin with the expectation to pick up favorable position for yourself and in this way perpetrated an offense as opposed to Section 22 (3) (an) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention, and so on) Act, 2015 and culpable under Section 22 (4) of a similar Act.”
The litigant argued not liable to the four-check charges when perused to him.
In perspective on his supplication, arraignment counsel, J.N. Dogoyaro implored the court to fix a date for the beginning of preliminary and for the respondent to be remanded in jail authority. .
