New Barcelona manager, Ronald Koeman, has opted against signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal.
Koeman rather wants to get Memphis Depay from Lyon, as stated by respected Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Depay is understood to have agreed personal terms with the LaLiga giants already.
Be that as it may, the two clubs are yet to concur on a fee, as Barca has not made an official bid for the Dutch forward.
“Barcelona are working to get Memphis Depay – personal terms agreed but no official bid to OL yet.
“Barça likewise began contacts to sign Aubameyang weeks ago, but Koeman wants Depay and Auba decided to extend his contract with Arsenal [agreed until 2023 and official soon],” Romano tweeted.
Koeman however has to convince Lionel Messi that Depay is the right man for the team, with the Argentine preferring his compatriot Lautaro Martinez.
