Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, has conceded he would love the club to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.
The pair are partners in the Argentina national team.
Martinez, who is appreciating a fine season with the Serie A side, has a €111m buyout statement in his current deal.
In spite of the fact that Barca have signed Martin Braithwaite in an emergency deal on Thursday, Messi feels the Catalans should have Martinez in their sights this summer.
“He’s good in one-one-one circumstances, fights it out with anybody, wins back the ball, can turn in the box. He’s a finished forward.
“I think all great players will in the end adapt. Luis Suarez has a great deal of understanding and could help Lautaro sink into the club and the Liga. Obviously, this is all theoretically,” Messi told Mundo Deportivo.
