Former Manchester United striker, Robin van Persie, has pummeled Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side for being ‘flat and sloppy’ after their 1-1 draw with Club Brugge in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 first leg experience on Thursday.
Goals from Emmanuel Dennis and Anthony Martial ensured both teams played a draw at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Van Persie, talking on BT Sport after the match, stated: “Man United just looked flat and sloppy against Club Brugge.
“Truly, Solskjaer’s men by then were fortunate to at present be in the game.
“They were even luckier to get that gift goal from Martial because Brugge played really well against them in the first 25 minutes, the host should have been 2-0 or 3-0 up.”
“United did not create many chances at that point, they did not position right as a team, and they were sloppy.”
Man United will currently take on Club Brugge in the second leg at Old Trafford one week from now.
