Oyo state records 2 confirmed cases of COVID-19

OYO State has on Friday evening recorded two new affirmed instances of Coronavirus, carrying the instances of the infection to three (3) in the state.

The principal case was accounted for on March 21 as announced by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC,

“As at 8:00 pm 27th March, there are 70 affirmed cases, 3 released, 1 passing.”

As indicated by NCDC: “For a breakdown of cases by states; Lagos – 44, FCT – 14, Ogun – 3, Ekiti – 1, Oyo – 3, Edo – 1, Bauchi – 2, Osun – 1 and Rivers – 1.”

It would be reviewed that on Thursday, the Oyo State part of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), encouraged Governor Seyi Makinde drove the administration to think about a lockdown of exercises in the state.

The NMA Chairman, Dr. Associated Sodipo, said the call got important to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the state an

d Nigeria.

Sodipo said the lockdown would diminish the development of individuals in this manner, containing the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
