At least 30 people were killed after an assault on two villages in Kastina State.

The ward head of Tsauwa, Salisu Lawal, said residents were preparing for Magrib, the islmaic 7:00pm prayer, when the bandits assaulted.
He stated, “Yesterday (Friday) when we were planning for the Magrib prayer, we heard that crooks were assaulting Dankar town.
“Obscure to us that they were also coming in to this village, we saw them in huge number; some of them trekking, some riding bikes.
“Upon their arrival, they began shooting sporadically from across all areas in the town; they similarly restricted movement of all people in the town.”
Katsina State Police Command affirmed the incident.
