The University of Lagos’ convocation services, which was scheduled to start on Monday, have been suspended.
This was affirmed in an announcement by Oladejo Azeez, the Registrar and Secretary to UNILAG’s Council, on Thursday.
“The Management of the University of Lagos second thoughts to inform the general public that the 51st (2019) Convocation Ceremonies earlier scheduled to hold from Monday 9th to Thursday 12th March, 2020 have been postponed.
“Any inconvenience occasioned by this postponement is highly regretted,” it read.
UNILAG’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, had on Monday declared the schedule for the school’s 51st convocation.
Ogundipe noticed that 13,489 alumni would get degrees, diplomas and certificates at the event.
