Visa Ban: FG, US in closed door meeting over issue

Following the visa ban imposed on some categories of Nigerians by the United States The Federal Government and the United States are now in a closed door meeting in Abuja.

According to the Nation, the meeting is said to have commenced at 11 am today, September 16, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting is expected to review necessary issues that may have restricted some nationals from accessing the US and also brief the government on steps taken so far to resolve the issues.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama is head of Nigeria’s delegation to the meeting while the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard leads the US delegation.
